Eyelash Extensions
Never apply mascara or gel eyeliner to eyelash extensions as they will stick to your eyelash extensions and cannot be fully cleaned out. The oil within mascaras and gel eyeliners may dissolve the glue causing breakage and fallouts.
It is advised that for the first 24 hours, you should not expose your eyelashes to any humidity, steam, sweat or water. The glue will be affected and can turn brittle, causing the eyelash extensions to fall out.
Everyone goes through a growth cycle where you lose 1-4 eyelashes every day. Highlighting why you may see eyelash fall outs and the need for infills to maintain your lash extensions looking good. Every lash cycle will be different for every person, with some people losing their eyelashes quicker than others.
False eyelashes are applied individually to each natural eyelash, hence why this may seem like a long period of time. Every individual client will have a different number of natural eyelashes. The times given are an estimation, in some cases it may take longer, or it may take less time.
When applied correctly, synthetic extensions will not damage your natural lashes. Extensions which are too long, too thick or have too much glue could cause damage to your natural lashes. Always make sure you do your research on your chosen lash technician to make sure they are fully qualified.
